Things to think about before getting a tattoo Before rushing off to get a tattoo, remember that styles change. Have you looked at your parents yearbooks and laughed at some of the photos? I bet you have. But don't go thinking that this only happens to other people. It doesn't - it happens to us all. Styles change - sometimes drastically. Look at all the looks Madonna has had in a lifetime. When styles change, we tend to look at the previous styles as old-fashioned. We can also be quite mean and laugh at people who still wear old-fashioned styles. If you get a tattoo, try to image what would happen if it became classified as old-fashioned. Would you be ok with that? One way to overcome this is to get a "classic" tattoo. Designs that stand the test of time are usually symbols that were revered many years ago and are still revered today. Tribal tattoos are one such design. Celtic designs will also withstand time, as they are old all ready and have proven themselves. Just remember a tattoo is for life. This is not the time to impulse buy. Take your time when choosing, and you will reduce the risk of tattoo regret.
